Time Capsule still out there.

The famed Time Capsule from the early '80's is still at large, since we were unable to locate it last Saturday. A bunch of us, that included: Gonen, Fran Ran, Shelley Bar El (Goldsmith)'77, Amos Stark '77, Miki Weiser '90, Jonathan Reinhold '79, Miko Mor '88, Naor Mann '86, Carol (Sherman) Cohen '73, and our newest addition, Ben Chernik '07 met at the Kfar Shmar campus on the morning of Saturday June 15th, with picks and shovels in hand. We came prepared with coordinates that were provided by Eric "The Chipper" Chipernoi '86 who was among the people who actually buried the capsule. "Across from the old teachers lounge, 3-4 feet from the classrooms and maybe 1-2 feet to the left" was what we were told. "Piece of cake" we thought... well that proved to be harder then it seemed. First of all; 1-2 feet to the left... but to the left facing which direction??? Secondly in place of the grass an the old AIS bush that we all remembered, there were about 20 trees, sprinkler systems, and extensive landscaping that had been done over the years, and to top it off concrete and stones were covering the exact area where we needed to dig.  So after some futile digging we all went home disappointed, but it was not a complete waste because some of us were able to hit that golf links that morning so...
We will be back in a few weeks with a metal detector and some construction workers...

Confirmations of a second Time Capsule.

We have recently received confirmation from several Alumni that there was a second (actually a prior) time capsule buried in 1977. Vann Delorey '80, Judy (Fox) Rudin '77, and Susy (Gang) Kopik '77 all remember that there was a Time Capsule buried in 1977, but none of them remember the location. Now it might have just been somebody’s "stash" or a genuine Time Capsule, in any case we want to find it...;-) So if you have any information please write us at info@ais-alumni. It would be a shame to leave either of these artifacts behind once WBAIS leaves the Kfar Shmar campus for good at the end of June.

Reunion DVD released to rave reviews.

Almost everyone who ordered a Grand Reunion DVD has received it and the overwhelming consensus was that it was well worth the wait. Let us now if you have still not received your copy, or would still like order one. Send us your comments and reviews of the movie to info@ais-alumni. We are planning screenings of the movie this summer, in various locations; check the Events page for more information.
